If “business as usual” got us into this mess, why would we rely on it to get us out of it? We represent a new way of doing business that measures success on more than just making money, but on a triple bottom line of people, plant, and profit.
We are guided by purpose, not just profit.
B Corp Certification roots us in a local community of businesses who strive to do well and do good. And a global movement transforming the world’s economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.
The standards we have to meet as a B Corp are extremely high. That’s the point.

Since 2014. With the help of B Corp consultant we realized that our existing practices met the rigorous standards for certification. Apparently, we were doing business like a B Corp without knowing it. Our initial certification also solidified a commitment to improve our business practices and impact every year moving forward.
From B Lab: “Certified B Corporations are leaders in the global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.”
The rigorous standards of B Corp Certification keep us accountable so our practices reflect our principles to leave the world better than we found it.
Based on the B Impact assessment, Pixel Parlor earned an overall score of 101.7. The median score for ordinary businesses who complete the assessment is currently 50.9. See our B Corp Page
We are in good company with businesses like Patagonia, Warby Parker, New Belgium Brewery, Blueland, and Seventh Generation, and local Philadelphia businesses like Triple Bottom Brewing.
It’s an opportunity to use your resources and decision-making power to back-up your values. Working with a B Corp can energize your team and stakeholders around a shared vision. And in a world where a lot of people are making claims about social and environmental impact, B Corp certification is credible because of rigorous, third-party certification.
We have many opportunities to use business as a force for good. We seek to provide smart solutions to our clients so that the messages, materials, production methods, and quantities of products created are made to last, are environmentally sound, provoke change, and advance culture. We also provide a positive, ethical work environment for our employees.
This means we continue to use our initial B Corp certification to seek out new ways to improve our impact in the world. As a Changemaker, our scores rank in the top 20% of global B Corps.
We are also a proud member of the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia (SBN). Our CEO Jenn Richey Nicholas serves on SBN’s Board of Directors.
We invite our team, clients, and community to participate in this greater mission, and we love collaborating with other like-minded businesses and organizations who share our commitment to sustainability and social justice.
Recognizing the role we play as a business and as people in building a brighter future for our neighborhood, city, and beyond is the heartbeat of our studio. It energizes our work helping you discover the heart of your story.
Pixel Parlor has an annual giving goal of donating 2% of profit to support mission-aligned not-for-profits and purpose-driven businesses and amplify their impact.
We do this through charitable donations, volunteering, providing pro-bono services, sponsoring organizations that we align with, and through our Brand Grant program that provides pro-bono design services to organizations and purpose-driven businesses making a positive impact in our community.
