Summer camp is the place where some of our most memorable and cherished memories are formed. At St. Mark’s Summer in Southborough, MA, young people experience wonder, learn new skills, and make new friends under the care and guidance of an experienced and passionate staff.
We leaned on St. Mark’s Summer’s caring, impactful, and adventurous personality to design a brand identity that inspires happiness, joy, and a sense of belonging in parents, families, and campers. The logo reimagines the lion St. Mark’s School, the host institution, uses in their logo. The inspiration from the branding process carried over into web design, where we used the sunburst graphic and sunshine-inspired crinkle pattern to bring movement and pops of color to the site. Bright, welcoming photos of kids having a ball and learning new skills at camp invite parents to imagine their child’s transformative experience. The visual elements worked in tandem with intuitive UX design to connect parents to important registration and camp information in as few steps as possible.
Initially, the team at St. Mark’s Summer promoted camp through a subpage on the St. Mark’s School main website. The new standalone website increases their ability to connect with families looking for summer camp options, and we helped them refine their content by incorporating SEO Keywords and other best practices.
