The Housing Equality Center of Pennsylvania is a nonprofit organization aimed at eliminating housing discrimination in PA.
Our team was first approached to create two microsites to help improve the rental experience for both renters and landlords and protect Pennsylvanians against housing discrimination.
Each microsite was adapted from the organization’s existing manuals “Know Your Rights as a Renter in Pennsylvania,” and “Know Your Responsibilities as a Landlord in Pennsylvania.”
A year after the launch of the second microsite, the client returned for the redesign their main website. Their goal for the new site, in addition to a more modern and cohesive design, was to provide clear pathways to the resources and leverage automation to shorten the intake process so users receive the help they need faster.
Our established relationship provided the opportunity to push the boundaries on this final culminating website project. A video header, a new display font, and little moments of interaction give it a fresh and modern feel.
The new site is a clean, accessible, and multi-lingual web experience which will help advance fair and equal access to housing opportunities for more Pennsylvanians.
