These playful custom benches and bird boxes highlight the flora, fauna, landscapes, and attractions of South Philly’s FDR Park and spotlight upgrades that will be implemented via the master plan for the park. Our custom illustrations took inspiration from the park’s specific natural and cultural vibrancy.
The benches were a bright and welcoming place for attendees to take a rest and also served to educate the public about upcoming park features, like trails, wetlands, fields, courts, and playgrounds, which were the result of many community events discussing the future of the park.
This 2021 Philadelphia Flower Show exhibit is the result of a collaboration with Fairmount Park Conservancy and PORT. The installation returned for the following year’s show.
