Andrew Nicholas is the founding partner of Pixel Parlor. His interactive/digital skill set has afforded him to work for retail, performing arts and fine arts organizations over the years. His playful, illustrative style has been seen in print campaigns throughout New York City & Philadelphia and on global websites. He holds a BFA from the College of Design at North Carolina State University, and a minor in Film Studies.
Jenn Richey Nicholas
Partner / Creative Director
A graduate of the prestigious graphic design program at the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning, Jenn has seen the inner workings of many design studios. She has worked on the design team for the New York City 2012 Olympic Bid, designed indie rock DVDs, dozens of architecture and planning proposals, and even a shrine to Richard Branson.
Jenn currently provides creative direction for Pixel Parlor, engages with the community on a variety of design and philanthropic initiatives, and consults with clients on strategic brand solutions in innovative fields.
Lisa joins the Pixel Parlor team with 7 years of agency experience in Manhattan prior to relocating to Philadelphia. She’s worked with a variety of clients including corporate, healthcare, technology, aviation and small business.
Her project management and client services skillsets compliment her design talent with identities, websites, and print marketing.
Lou is an award-winning graphic designer, illustrator, & front-end developer. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Tyler School of Art, and has been working in the industry as an Art Director & Front-End Developer. He provides a unique perspective on design, and the ability to take a project from a sketch to development and launch.
Kyle Telman, a graduate of The University of the Arts, garnered his interactive skill set working at agencies both domestically and internationally. Deeply invested in every last pixel, he excels at articulating identity via careful Information architecture and transforming branding into confident designs with streamlined user experience across all digital media. Kyle is the de-facto purveyor of solid vibes within the PXP studio.
Jason spent his formative years in the Midwest working construction and learning the value of craftsmanship. Specializing in identity and illustration with a focus on interactive design, Jason creates websites that are both aesthetically pleasing and beautifully functional.
Our mission is to provide unique, sophisticated design solutions while maintaining the utmost attention to detail. We strive to provide exemplary customer service and build strong, lasting relationships with our clients.
More heads are better than one
Our team believes that a process of close collaboration with the organizations and businesses we work with is essential to successful projects. While we aim to provide informed and considered design advice, we will never assume the role of dictating design to a client (unless requested). We feel design is the most successful when there is key stakeholder involvement, transparent discussion, and a common vision.
It’s easy to forget that fun can be the secret ingredient for exciting and evocative design and for nurturing positive, long-standing relationships. We pull inspiration from outside of our studio walls, and bring new ideas back to incorporate into daily work.
While we work hard, we make sure to take the time to smell the roses, plant tomatoes, cook, bike, paint, photograph, draw, and experience.
Sustainability & Social Responsibility
We love the earth and our community. We find that making the world a little better is achievable through seeking collaborative efforts with those who also value both environmentally and socially sustainable practices.
It is easier to sleep at night knowing that we’re doing our best to help facilitate great organizations through communicating their amazing efforts to the community and the world. We take time to select the best materials and methods to assure that the final design solution is sustainable, elegant, efficient, and affordable.
The majority of our team walks, bikes, or takes public transportation to work each day. We give back to local charitable & civic organizations, and also support woman & minority-owned businesses and alternative business practices that support underrepresented populations.
